When a new LC Amendment request comes through from a corporate client, there are three main ways to find it:
1. Via the alert – either in the Alert Box or via the email copy of the alert
Clicking on the amendment reference on the right hand side takes you directly into the amendment. If you are not logged in and receive an email copy, clicking on the link takes you to the system log in page and then directly to the amendment once logged in.
2. Via the Import Amendment List, found in elcyMBP, Import Amendment List.
The default view shows all amendments not in issued state. There is also an ‘issued’ tab which when clicked, shows a list of all issued amendments.
3. Via the Import Transaction List
You can access the Import Transaction List via elcyMBP, Import, Transaction List.
This brings up a full list of all transactions. Click on Issued on the right-hand side to filter the list, and then look for any transaction with the next to it indicating it needs the bank’s attention. You can also search for a transaction by clicking on Search and entering what you know e.g., the start of the name of the Applicant, or the Bank Reference number.
Once you have found the right amendment and clicked into it, you have a number of options:
Clicking on the green Download arrow allows you to download a copy of the amendment in RJE format or text format into Word.
You also have the possibility to either Acknowledge the amendment (which does not commit the bank to issue it) or immediately Reject it back to the corporate if it is unacceptable. Select one of those options and click on the green arrow next to it to change the status of the transaction.
At each change in status, an alert is generated to your colleagues, and if Issued or Rejected, also to the corporate.
