Microsoft / Google / Okta / ForgeRock Authenticator Registration Guide
Step 1 – User notifies ELCY:
- A user will need to inform ELCY helpdesk (elcy-helpdesk@surecomp.com) if they intend to use Microsoft / Google / Okta Verify / ForgeRock authenticator to access ELCY live site.
Step 2 – User receives email link to set password:
- Click on ‘Set Password’
Step 3 – Set security questions:
- Answers to security questions are case sensitive.
- After completion, click ‘Continue’
Step 4 – Set Password:
- User needs to set their main password:
- Password is case sensitive and meet the following requirements:
- At least 12 characters in length.
- Must contain at least 1 capital letter.
- Must contain at least 1 lower case letter.
- Must contain at least 1 number.
- Must contain at least 1 special character.
- Must not contain more than 2 identical consecutive characters.
- Tick boxes will show a user what is required:
- Click ‘Save’
Step 5 – Log into ELCY:
- User logs in to ELCY live site (www.elcy.com/elcyapps/elcyLogin.html) with their ELCY user name and the password set in step 4 above:
Step 6 – Register authenticator:
- Please ensure you have downloaded either the Microsoft authenticator, Google authenticator, Okta Verify or ForgeRock app. Then open your authenticator and add the new account. You will be asked to scan the QR code:
Enter the six-digit code generated by the authenticator app in ‘Initial Code’ field.
Give your device a name (this can be anything you choose). Click ‘Continue’
- You will then see the authorisation code screen. Enter the six-digit code shown in the authenticator app and click ‘Continue’.
Step 7 - Registration Complete.
- For future access, you log in to ELCY as per step 5 above, using the password created, click ‘Continue’ and you will immediately see the ‘Authorisation Code Required’ screen mentioned in step 6.
