To advise an Export Transaction which you have received for a client who is registered with elcyMBP, you should go to elcyMBP > Export > Send Doc LC to Corporate, Send SBLC to Corporate or Send GTee (Guarantee) to Corporate as appropriate.
Alternatively, you can send the SWIFT message to the client’s individual 11 digit BIC code in the form MISYGB22aaa – where aaa is the three digit code specific to the client. Export Transaction advices should never be sent to MISYGB22XXX unless you have been specifically requested to do so by ELCY.
You then have the opportunity to choose whether you are creating a Freetext message (e.g. because you only have a PDF of the transaction) or you have a text you can use to paste in or upload a SWIFT formatted transaction.
Wherever possible, ELCY recommend that you create a Swift format message with the text of the underlying transaction.
1. Advising a Doc LC
+ Click in the relevant box depending on message type (MT700; MT710; Freetext)
+ Select relevant corporate from drop down menu
+ Leave the other items blank if you have a text version of the LC and go down the screen.
+ Copy and paste the details of the cover letter or Attach a cover letter in PDF or txt file format
+ Copy and paste the LC or Attach a Text file in SWIFT format. If in correct SWIFT format, data boxes will automatically be completed. If MT700 (MT710) selected, then attach a MT701 (MT711) if required.
In the case where your bank is the advising AND issuing bank then tick “LC issued through elcyMBP” box before creating.
